Applying pagination and tab labeling

Pagination can be applied at book level or individual tab level. Tab labels can be customized in any combination down to four levels of tabs and subtabs.

  1. Select the More options icon to the far right of the document's row and select Book properties.

  2. Select the Advanced settings tab.

  3. In the Pagination section, select whether you want to paginate at the book level or tab level.

    • Paginate by book does not break the book into sections and will number the pages accordingly. For example, a 100-page book will start at page 1 and end at page 100.
    • Paginate by tab will number the pages by tab, with the first page of every tab being a new page 1.

  4. Use the dropdown menus in the Tab labeling section to customize the labeling for each level of tabs and subtabs throughout the book. For example, you can select standard numbers, roman numerals, lowercase letters, or uppercase letters.

  5. To apply the pagination and tab labeling to the book, select Update.
