Importing a bookmarked PDF
You can import a bookmarked PDF to create a new book. You can also import a bookmarked PDF into a book that already contains a tab or document structure.
Import a bookmarked PDF to create a new book
-
After creating a new book, you'll be taken to the Build book tab in the Book editor.
-
Select Import a bookmarked PDF, and then select a document from the file picker window that appears.
-
You can also drag and drop the bookmarked PDF into the Build book tab. A preview of the tab structure opens in a new window.
-
To place the entire contents of the PDF into a single tab, select the radio button next to Nest content under one tab. This is the best way to add a PDF that only contains content for one section of the meeting.
-
To recreate the bookmark structure of the PDF in the book, select the radio button next to Create new tab per bookmark. This is the best way to import a PDF that contains an entire board book.
-
You have the option to sequentially number all the book tabs. To enable this option, select Use numbered tabs on the bottom-left of the window.
-
Select Import PDF to begin importing the bookmarked PDF. The import will begin automatically, and any documents will be uploaded and converted in the book tabs.
Note
If the bookmarked PDF structure contains sub-tabs, up to three levels will be supported in the book structure.
Import a bookmarked PDF into an existing book
-
In the Build book tab, select Import bookmarked PDF.
The new and existing tabs are displayed so that you can see all tabs and levels within the book.
-
To show the tab numbers, select the Display tab numbers option.
-
Select Import PDF to begin importing the bookmarked PDF.
The imported bookmarked PDF is integrated seamlessly with the existing content but still retains highlights and complex bookmark sequences.
