Creating notes and annotations

The Markup toolbar contains several options for creating annotations, including notes, page markups, and bookmarks.

Note

When you create annotations and markups, such as highlights or pen marks, they are private so you cannot share them with other directors.

  1. To add a note, select the Notes icon to open the Notes panel.

    To add a note anywhere on a page, right-click (or, on a touchscreen, long press) that location. Visit Adding notes for full information on adding and working with notes.

  2. To add color highlights to sections of the page, select the Down arrow on the Highlighter icon to choose a color and select the section to highlight.

  3. To add color highlights to text, select the Down arrow on the Text highlighter icon to choose a color and select the text to highlight.

  4. To draw solid lines on the page, select the Down arrow on the Pen icon to select the color and line thickness.

    Existing pen marks will remain the same.

  5. To remove any marks or highlights, select the Eraser icon .

  6. To bookmark a page, select the Bookmark icon in the upper-right corner of the page.

  7. To undo an action, select the Undo icon .

  8. To redo an action, select the Redo icon .

  9. To delete your annotations, select the Delete annotations icon . A menu will appear with options to:

    • Delete all annotations from page

    • Delete the pen & highlights from page

    • Delete all annotations from book
