Viewing ESG Ratings scores

Diligent gathers ESG data from a variety of reputable and trusted partners, such as S&P Global and Clarity AI. These partners and their third-party data provide a broad view of ESG positions, with the Diligent One Platform creating contextualized insights and visualizations for directors within Boards. Use the ESG Ratings report to view real-time data points directly from third-party providers and benchmark your organization's overall ESG performance and risk against the industry average.

1. In the Diligent One Platform, select ESG Ratings to open the report.

2. In the S&P Global and Clarity AI sections, select Discover ESG Scores Methodology or email the address provided to learn more about how they measure ESG Scores.

3. The Rating analysis tab displays ESG rating analyses for your company and the Average Industry Peer. The Average Industry Peer is the average ESG rating score of other industry peers, allowing you to compare against peers for items such as:

   • ESG rating score: a visual representation of your company's score and the industry average ESG rating score. Move your mouse over the graph to compare rating scores.

   • ESG rating by pillar: a visual representation of your company's score and the industry average ESG rating score for each of the Environmental, Social, and Governance ranks. Move your mouse over the pillar name in the bar chart to compare a pillar's ESG rating score.

   • ESG rating trend: a visual representation of the trends in your company's overall ESG rating score over time. Move your mouse over a specific point on the line graph to view or compare the trends of your company's ESG rating score.
