Updating Boards settings
Users with the Settings manager role have access to the Settings module, from which they can manage critical attributes across the entire Boards application. The application settings are currently organized in to six categories, described below.
Note
Many settings are displayed in read-only mode. You cannot edit read-only settings, as they were configured when your Diligent One-Plattform account was created. For assistance, contact Diligent Support or your Customer Success Manager.
Infrastructure and security
This section describes the settings for managing your organization's infrastructure and security properties.

Name | Read-only | This field displays the name of your organization. |
Data region | Read-only | This field displays the region in which your organization's data originates. |
Recipients of setting change alerts | Clear | A list of users who will receive an alert when a setting is changed. You can enter one or more email addresses to apply this setting. |
Recipients of user role and permission change alerts | Clear | A list of users who will receive an alert when a user's information is changed. You can enter one or more email addresses to apply this setting. |
Organization and application properties
This section describes the settings relating to your organization's subscription.

Package tier | Read-only | This setting displays the subscription level the organization has subscribed to. |
Boards app operational state | Checked | This setting controls whether you can move an organization's instance from provisioning to operational mode. |
Standard date format | International Date (yyyy-MM-dd) | This setting allows you to select the standard date format for your organization. Select an option from the dropdown menu to update this setting. |
Short date format | International Date (yyyy-MM-dd) | This setting allows you to select the short date format for your organization. Select an option from the dropdown menu to update this setting. |
Time format | System Short Time (t) | This setting allows you to select the time format for your organization. Select an option from the dropdown menu to update this setting. |
Show watermark on documents | Checked | This setting enables watermarking on documents in the page view. |
Show watermark on printed/exported documents | Checked | This setting enables watermarking on printed and exported documents. |
Custom watermark label | Clear | This setting enables you to display custom text as the watermark. Enter text in the blank field to apply this setting. |
Receive product updates | Checked | This setting enables you to receive updates about Diligent One-Plattform products. |
Receive Diligent announcements | Checked | This setting enables you to receive updates about Diligent One-Plattform . |
Book management
This section describes the settings relating to book visibility and annotations.

Show empty tabs to Directors | Checked | This setting allows directors to see empty tabs with no book content in the page view. |
Bypass hidden documents in books | Checked | This setting prevents directors from seeing documents the administrator marked as "hidden" in the page view. |
Document management
This section describes the settings relating to file properties and formatting.

Show change tracking | Checked | This setting allows administrators to see conversion progress. Select the checkbox to enable this setting. |
DPI (Dots per inch) | Clear | This setting controls the DPI of uploaded documents. |
Margins - Measurement unit | Clear | This setting allows you to select the measurement unit for margins in documents. Select an option from the dropdown menu to update this setting. |
Margin Top | 1 | The size of the top margin. Select the field and enter a number to update this setting. |
Margin Right | 1 | The size of the right margin. Select the field and enter a number to update this setting. |
Margin Bottom | 1 | The size of the bottom margin. Select the field and enter a number to update this setting. |
Margin Left | 1 | The size of the left margin. Select the field and enter a number to update this setting. |

Notifications
This section describes the settings relating to book notifications.

Subject | Clear | This setting controls the subject line that appears in email notifications. Enter text in the field to update this setting. |
Body | Clear | This setting controls the message in the body of email notifications. Enter text in the field to update this setting. |
Include book link | Checked | This setting controls whether a link to the book is available in email notifications. |
Always copy admin | Checked | This setting controls whether the book administrator receives a copy of the email notification. Select the checkbox to enable this setting. |
Resource center
This section describes the settings relating to the Resource center.

Paginate by document | Checked | This setting controls whether all documents in the same folder will be grouped into separate pages. |
New content highlights | Clear | This setting controls the length of time a document is marked as "new" in the Resource Center. |
