Using the 'Stop and Process' Roll-up Security Group option
The User Role will need to be set up prior to assigning it to a Security Group. Options/functions you want to give a User will need to be selected in the User Role and any options/functions you do not want a User to see/perform need to be unselected in the User Role.
The Security Group will then need to be set up as follows.
- Enter a Quick Reference for the Security Group.
- Enter a meaningful Description of the Security Group.
- Select the User Role that applies to the Security Group, noting that when a User who has been assigned this Security Group opens an entity belonging to this Security Group, they will be able to carry out any of the options/functions granted in this User Role.
- Select Stop and Process as the roll-up Security Group option.
- Live Security Group – If this is a Security Group for pending Entities, select which Security Group the Entities belonging to this pending Group should go under, once the Entities have been actioned and are no longer pending.
- Automatic Security Group – Enter formulae so that any new Companies will automatically go into this Security Group upon their creation, for example (COUNTRYCODE=="GB"). This formula means that if a company's country of incorporation is the United Kingdom, the company will automatically go into the Security Group in question. If no automatic formulae are entered, the User will have to select the relevant Security Group the Company should belong to when creating the Entity.
- Select Finish.
