Activity Center app permissions
Roles specify the permissions each user has across the Activity Center app.
Available roles
There are three roles available:
- Report Admin Can configure app settings and create dashboards or analysis
- Report Writer Can create dashboards
- Report Reader Can only view existing dashboards
Example
You are a Report Admin, and you need to administer users in your organization. Your colleagues, Cheryl and Finn, need access to the app, but they require different levels of access.
To grant them access, you assign the following roles:
- Cheryl Report Writer
- Finn Report Reader
Cheryl can create dashboards while Finn can only view existing dashboards.
Subscriptions and roles
Each user license has a subscription. Subscriptions define which roles are available in the app. For more information, see Managing licenses and subscription permissions.

Assign roles
In Launchpad, you can add users to a Diligent One instance and specify access levels for each user.
By default, new users are not assigned access to Activity Center. System Admins must assign users a role before they can work with reports, dashboards, and presentations in Activity Center.
-
Open the Launchpad home page (www.diligentoneplatform.com).
Note
Diligent One Platform also supports the domain www.highbond.com. For more information, see Supported domains.
- If your company uses more than one Diligent One instance in Launchpad, make sure the appropriate instance is active, or select the appropriate instance from the dropdown list.
- Select Platform Settings > Users.
If you do not see Users as an option, the account you used to sign in does not have Admin privileges.
- In the Activity Center access column, specify the appropriate role for each user. Diligent One saves your changes automatically.
Note
The Launchpad database is not synced with the Reports app. Users must open Reports once before they can be assigned access to reports, dashboards and presentations.
Access to Diligent One data
Access to data is controlled by each Diligent One application. Data from Projects, Robots, and Policy Manager are automatically sent to the Activity Center. To send data automatically from Results to Activity Center, you first need to select and schedule that data in Results.
You can create data from other applications within Activity Center through Robots.
Your access to data in Activity Center is determined by:
- your roles and rules within other Diligent One apps
- your access level to a specific dashboard or analysis
- data availability
Access to other applications
Access to data of other applications within the Activity Center app depends on the role assigned to you.
Within certain applications, you can access only those records that are assigned to you.
Data availability
Activity Center contains datasets from other Diligent One apps, which include:
- Projects
- Policy Manager
- Results
- Robots
