Assessing a risk

To assess a risk:

  1. From the main menu, go to Risk assessment.

  2. On the Assessable risks tab, find the risk you want to assess.

  3. Select Assess risk next to the identified risk. An assessment is created successfully.

  4. Go to the Assessments tab, locate the assessed risk in the table.

  5. Select values for the following:

    • Impact Indicates the potential severity of the risk.

    • Likelihood Represents the probability of the risk occurring.

  6. Review the Risk score field calculated by the system. You can manually adjust the score, if needed.

Approving a risk

After the risk is assessed, you must approve it to finalize the assessment.

To approve a risk:

  1. In the Assessments tab, find the assessed risk.

  2. Confirm that Impact, Likelihood, and Risk score values are all set.

  3. Select Approve in the row of the corresponding risk.

The assessment status remains In progress until you approve it. When approved, the risk assessment is locked and recorded.
