Managing linking rules
Use linking rules to automatically associate imported discrete assets to Asset manager’s aggregated asset. You can configure conditions to link only relevant assets and run these rules manually or on a daily schedule.
From the Vulnerability settings page, select Linking rules to:
-
View all existing linking rules in a grid.
-
Add, edit, or delete rules.
-
Filter rules by asset type, run type, or inclusion criteria.
-
Run rules individually from the rule drawer.
-
Select multiple rules and run them in bulk.
When you run a rule, it links discrete assets that meet the configured conditions to their target aggregated asset. These conditions can include specific IPv4 address, Source name, and whether the asset already has a target asset linked.
If there are unlinked discrete assets, a message appears on the Vulnerability details page. You can go to the Linking Rules page directly from there.
Select Add Linking Rule to start setting up a new rule.
