Navigating a defined audit universe

Use this guide to understand the workflows associated with the audit universe after it is defined.

Accessing defined audit universe

On the Audit home page, select the Go to audit universe button under the Audit universe tile.

If the audit universe is not defined, then Define audit universe button appears under the Audit universe tile. See Defining audit universe.

The Audit universe page appears. This page contains two sections. The top area named Coverage displays the extent to which the various elements within an organization are included in the audit universe. The bottom area named Audit universe lists the auditable entities that you selected while defining this audit universe.

The following guide helps you navigate the Audit universe page.

Field name Description
Auditable entity

Selecting an auditable entity name navigates to the respective auditable entity page. This page displays the following tabs:

  • Details By default, this tab is displayed. You can change the name and frequency of audits, view relevant dates and taxonomy.

  • Audit risk assessments Displays relevant audit risk assessment scores and lists all the audit risk assessments associated with this auditable entity. Selecting an audit risk assessment name opens it in a new tab.

  • Audits Lists audits that include the selected auditable entity. Selecting an audit name opens it in the Audit page.

Status Displays whether the auditable entity is active or archived.
Org unit

Selecting org units opens the Organizational Structure app through an external link.

Note

If more than one org unit is linked to an auditable entity, then the total count of org unit is displayed in the column. Selecting the count opens a side sheet panel displaying the details of associated org units.

Process

Selecting processes opens process tab in the Risk Manager app.

If more than one process is linked to an auditable entity, only the process count is displayed in the column. Selecting the count opens a side sheet panel displaying the details of associated processes.

Redefine

Use this option to make changes to your audit universe. Upon selecting the Redefine button, the Define audit universe page appears where you can redefine your audit universe.

Note

It is recommended that you redefine your audit universe only when intense changes occur in the process library or org structure. When you redefine your audit universe, all previously selected auditable entities gets archived impacting the ongoing audit risk assessments and audit plans. This action is permanent.
