Adding audit plan
You can create yearly audit plans starting from completed audit risk assessments. They can generate audits from linked audit risk assessments by selecting prioritized auditable entities, adjust timelines, and extend scopes by including additional entities. Multi-year plans can also be created, defining the scope and linking audit risk assessments.
You add an audit plan from a completed audit risk assessment. Other options include:
Add an audit plan from a completed audit risk assessment
To add audit plans from a completed audit risk assessment conclusion, perform the following steps.

Access the Diligent One Platform.

Select Audit & Analytics > Audit.

From the Audit risk assessment tile, select Go to audit risk assessment.

Select the Name of a Completed audit risk assessment.

From the audit risk assessment’s Completed page, select the down arrow on the right of the Start planning button. Start planning and Add audit plan follow the same workflow.

Select the Add audit plan option and continue.
Note
If you select an audit risk assessment whose status is not Completed, the app opens the audit risk assessment from where you left off. You must complete the audit risk assessment to add an audit plan.
Add audit plan
The Add audit plan option creates a link to the completed audit risk assessment. The Add audit plan side panel displays when you select Add audit plan; the side panel indicates the audit risk assessment to which audit plan is linked.
The Add audit plan side panel requires you to add some information. Required fields must be correctly completed to add the audit plan.
To enter the details for your audit plan, perform the following steps.

Name (Required): enter the Audit name to link the audit plan.

Description: enter the description of the audit plan (3000-character limit).

Enter the Start date and the End date.

Enter the Resource (Budgeted hours) allocated for the audit plan.

Select Add.
After you add your audit plan, the Draft audit plan opens.
Add a draft audit plan from the dashboard
Adding a draft audit plan from the overview page creates a draft audit plan that does not include audits or a linked audit risk assessment. To add a draft audit plan, perform the following steps.

From the Audit planning dashboard, select Add audit plan.

From the Add audit plan side panel, add the Details, Schedule, and Resource (Budgeted hours). Refer to Add audit plan.

Select Add.
Note
You can link a completed audit risk assessment to the audit plan. Note that only one audit risk assessment can link to an audit plan.
Link to an existing audit plan
You can link a completed audit risk assessment to an existing audit plan.

From a completed audit risk assessment, select the Start planning down arrow and select Link to an existing audit plan.

From the Link to existing audit plan screen, select the radial button of the Draft audit plan to link with the audit risk assessment.

Select Link and open audit plan.
Note
The audit plan status must be Draft, and not linked to an audit risk assessment. Also, you can select the audit plan name to open it in a separate browser tab and review the details to decide which one is the ideal one to link.
