Propose, approve, launch, and close audit plan

This section describes the process involved in completing an audit plan workflow.

Propose

  1. Propose submits the audit plan for review.

The status of the audit plan is now Pending approval.

    Note

    • This action only changes the status of the audit plan. When in "Pending approval" or "Approved" status, you can export this proposed plan in PDF format to share with stakeholders and receive feedback.

    • You must include at least one audit and fill all the required fields to complete this action.

    1. If you have not allocated the audit plan’s total hours, the app informs you that “You have remaining budgeted hours for the audit plan.”

    2. If you have over allocated the audit plan’s total hours, the app informs you that “Audit’s budgeted hours exceed audit plan budget.”

  2. The reviewer(s) can request changes. To process those requests, select Revert to draft enter the comment (optional) to provide hint during modification.

  3. After you have made the requested changes, select Resolve.

Approve and launch

When approved, select Mark as approved. The status is now Approved, and the Launch button displays.

Once approved and you are ready to begin implementing the audit plan, select Launch. The status changes to In progress.

Note

  • If you attempt to launch the audit plan before its start date or after its end date, the app displays “Launch audit plan – Audit plans can only be launched if the current date is between the audit plan’s start and end date.”

  • In this case, you can select Revert to draft and change the date to launch the audit plan from the current date.

Close

When the audit plan is implemented, select Close audit plan. The status shows Closed.

Note

If you attempt to close the audit plan before its end date, the message “Close audit plan? The end date hasn’t been reached” displays.

If you select Close, the audit plan status becomes Closed.
