Add security to a BoardEffect library file

You can restrict whether users can view, download, or print a file. You can add security to a single file in a resource or workroom library.

  1. On the main navigation menu, select Library.

  2. Select the relevant workroom.

  3. Select a folder name to view files.

  4. To add security to a file, select the More options icon and select Manage security from the menu.

  5. Select the checkbox next to each user who should have access to this file.

  6. To search for a user, enter their first or last name in the Search field.

  7. To save your changes, select Save.

    A Lock icon is visible next to secured files.

Manage editors of a library file

You can manage which users have permission to edit a file directly from the Resource library.

  1. On the main navigation menu, select Library.

  2. Select the relevant workroom.

  3. Select a folder name to view its files.

  4. Select the More options icon for the file and select Manage editors from the menu.

  5. Use the Search field to search for a user.

  6. Select the checkbox next to each user who should be able to edit this file.

    Note

    You can also select users who currently have editing permissions, as indicated by a check mark, to remove their editing permissions.

  7. Optional: Select the Select all checkbox to give editing permissions to all users in the list.

  8. Select Update.

    An email is sent to the users with the new editing permissions.
