Managing book properties and access

You can update the basic properties of a book, including the title, meeting dates, and virtual conference details. You can also control who has access to the book and document-level permissions.

Note

You do not need to republish a book to implement your changes to the properties or document access.

Update book properties

This section describes how to update a book's basic properties.

  1. From the Bookshelf, select Edit on a book's row.

    You are taken to the Build book tab.

  2. Select the more options icon on the top right of the screen.

    A list of options appears.

  3. Select Properties.

    The Book properties panel appears.

  4. Select from the following fields to replace the current properties:

Book title

Enter the title of the book

Start date of meeting

Use your keyboard to enter a date or select the calendar icon to use the date-picker

End date of meeting

Use your keyboard to enter a date or select the calendar icon to use the date-picker

Allow book to be printed

Enable directors to print the book

Include remote conference details

Enable remote conference details to be displayed

  1. Select Update.

Control book access

You can remove document-level access for certain committee members.

  1. From the Bookshelf, select Edit on a book's row.

    You are taken to the Build book tab.

  2. Select the arrow next to a tab to expand it and view files.

  3. Select the more options icon on the right side of a file's row.

    A list of options appears.

  4. Select Document access.

    The Document access panel appears.

    A list of the directors who can view the file is displayed.

  5. Clear the checkbox next a director's name to remove access.

  6. Select Save.
