Creating a note

You can add notes for your own reference or to share with other directors.

Add a note

This section describes how to add a private note that only you can see.

  1. From the Home page, select a book.

    You are taken to the page view.

  2. Select the Notes icon on the right side of the screen.

    The Notes panel opens.

  3. Select the Add note icon , and then move the mouse over the document in the page view.

  4. Select anywhere on the page view to add the note.

    A blank note appears on the Notes panel.

  5. Select the blank note to enter text.

  6. Select Add.

    Your private note appears in the Notes panel.

Make notes public

You can change the status of your notes from "private" to "public". Public notes are visible to all directors with access to the page in the book containing a note.

  1. Select the Notes icon on the right side of the screen.

    The Notes panel opens.

  2. Hover over a note.

    The More options icon appears.

  3. Select the More options icon .

  4. Select Visibility from the dropdown menu.

  5. Select Public.

    After the note status changes to "Public", all directors with access to the book can view the note. If commenting is enabled, they can comment on it as well. To learn more, see Commenting on notes .

Share custom notes

This section describes how to share notes with the users you choose.

  1. Select the Notes icon on the right side of the screen.

    The Notes panel opens.

  2. Hover over a note.

    The More options icon appears.

  3. Select the More options icon .

  4. Select Visibility from the dropdown menu.

  5. Select Custom.

    The Set visibility panel opens.

  6. Select the checkbox next to the users with whom you want to share the note.

  7. Select Save.
