The Smart Builder requires the following information to generate content:
-
Company style guide or brand template
-
Source material for content
-
Guidelines with on-brand instructions
Company style guide or brand template
Designing a standards-compliant sample PowerPoint prevents unwanted fallbacks to generic styling and preserves branding. The sample PowerPoint should include the following structural areas:
|
Area |
Recommendation |
|---|---|
|
Slide size |
Use 13.33 in x 7.5 in (16:9), unless your organization mandates another default |
|
Backgrounds |
Prefer solid/gradient fills |
|
Logos/brand art |
Put them on the slide master; avoid per-slide pictures |
|
Typography |
Use only fonts available in Microsoft Office |
|
Tables |
Insert native PowerPoint table objects |
|
Charts |
Convert essential charts to data tables plus explanatory bullets |
|
Images |
Avoid, unless strictly decorative and convertible to background fill |
|
Placeholder integrity |
Keep text in real placeholders or text boxes |
|
Color palette |
Define theme colors in the master and reuse them |
Source material for content
The content in your source material will be used to create the output. Upload raw material that contains vital information for the presentation. For example, if you want to include a slide on your organization’s financial outlook, be sure to include your financial information.
Guidelines with on-brand instructions
Adding your own guidelines or selecting one of Diligent’s guideline examples ensures the output reflects the topic of your choice. When adding your own guidelines , verify:
-
Each slide is explicitly labeled
-
Section breaks are clearly marked
-
Content descriptions are specific, not generic
-
Formatting preferences are stated
-
Data sources are identified when relevant
-
No duplicate or redundant slides exist
-
Realistic expectations for supported features
-
Consistent structure throughout
Tip
To customize one of Diligent’s guideline examples, select the Copy Markdown icon
and paste the text in a Learning Language Model (LLM) of your choice. You can ask the LLM to rewrite the guideline according to your specifications, while keeping a consistent structure.
