Change a Company Address

Use the Change Address option on the relevant address to change it and create the required forms that you can file to the relevant regulatory body about the change.

  1. Open the required company record.

  2. Select Company Details, then the Addresses tab.

    The Company Addresses page displays.

  3. Select Options options icon for the address you want to change and select the Change Address option.

    The Company Address wizard opens with the relevant address selected.

  4. Select Next on the Addresses page of the wizard.

  5. On the Type of Change page of the wizard, select a change type and select Next.

    You have the following options:

    • Select an existing shared address
    • Create a new shared address
    • Create or change a one-off address
    • Clear the current address details
  6. On the next page, search and select an existing address or enter the new address details into the fields provided and select Next.

  7. On the Board Meeting page, enter the date of the board meeting and select Next.

  8. On the Event Date page, enter the date for the change of address and select Next.

  9. On the Action page, select an action and select the Select signatory for documents and forms option to enter signatory details. Select Next.

    Alternatively, clear the Select signatory for documents and forms option to enter signatory details after the form has been generated.

    Note

    The Select signatory for documents and forms option is only available if the administrator set up the system to prompt for a signatory in event wizards. Refer to Enable Signatory Page in Event Wizards for more information.

    It is recommended that the Save as pending, then validate event option is selected when preparing forms to file electronically. The option allows for quick and easy regeneration of forms if they fail the validation checks or are rejected by the regulatory body.

  10. On the Signatory page, select a signatory and enter the date of the signing and select the capacity in which the signatory signs. Select Next.

  11. On the Documents page, make sure the relevant form is selected and select Next.

  12. On the Finish page, wait for the process to complete then select Finish.

    A pending event is created and the wizard closes. The address detail is updated on the entity's record and the relevant form is available in Working Documents.
