Upload Documents

The Upload option on the My Portal page enables users to quickly and easily upload files and documents into Diligent Entities by dragging.

The Upload option is available on other pages too in Diligent Entities and it works in a similar way.

Note

Only supported file types are accepted. Any invalid file types will be highlighted.

  1. On the My Portal page, drag one or multiple files on the Upload button.

    The Import Document Wizard opens.

  2. (Optional) On the Attach Document To screen of the wizard, you can select the entity you want to attach the document to. Select Next.
  3. On the Document Properties screen, review the list of the documents and complete the Document Properties section. Select Next.

    Invalid document types are highlighted with an error message. Select Remove files to remove the invalid file.

    Note

    If multiple files were uploaded by dragging, it is not possible to remove a single file. Choosing Remove files removes all uploaded files from the wizard.

  4. Complete the Document Properties screen. Select Next.
  5. On the Extra Properties screen, enter keywords that are to be recorded against the document. Select Next.
  6. On the Convert Documents to Adobe PDF screen, select an option for PDF conversion.
  7. Select Finish.

    The document is attached to the selected Data Library record.

    Note

    If no entity is selected for the uploaded document to be attached to, the file is saved to Working Documents.
