Attach a Document Template to a Document or Report Wizard

A document template can be attached to a Document or a Report wizard in two ways:

  • The document template displays as an option that can be selected.

  • The document template is automatically generated with the other system documents when the Report wizard is completed.

To attach a Document Template to an Report wizard:

  1. Navigate to System Tools > System Configuration > Document Templates.

    The Document Template Countries and Groups page displays.

  2. Scroll down to the User Document Groups section and locate Template documents.

  3. Select either the Menu icon and select the Open Document Group option or select the TEMPLATEDOCS link.

    The Document Templates: (ALL).TEMPLATEDOCS page displays.

  4. Select the Menu icon next to the required document template to see a list of the available options.

  5. Hover over the Add to option, then select the Wizard option. The User Defined Documents wizard displays.

  6. Locate and select the document type to which you want to attach a document template. In the example below, Companies Details window Reports is selected.
  7. Select Next.The Select Document page opens.

  8. If the attached document is to be stored with other documents for a specific country, select the Country dropdown list and select the relevant country. Alternatively, leave the selection as All Countries.

  9. The Document Template automatically populates the Name field with the title of the document, and the country detail is also added if selected in the step above.

  10. Select Next. The User Defined Document Details page displays.

  11. Enter a description for the document in the Description field.

  12. Select the category under which the the document should be listed in the Category dropdown list.

  13. To restrict access to the document to a specific group of users, select the appropriate Access Group in the Access Group dropdown list. Alternatively, to provide general access to all users, leave the selection as UDM Access Group 0.

  14. If the document is to be generated for a specific country only, select the Country dropdown list and select the relevant country. If relevant, also select the appropriate region in the Region dropdown list. Alternatively, to allow the document to be generated for all countries, leave the selection blank as needed.

  15. Select Finish.

    The Document Template is added to the selected wizard and will display as an option when you reopen the selected report wizard in Company Details > Wizards > Reports & Registers > Other Reports.
