Document Templates – Hidden Expressions

Document Templates that originate from other folders or groups may contain expressions and conditional logic that do not display by default when viewed within the Document Template editor. The hidden expressions determine what displays when the template is run, and the document is created.

Note

Hidden expressions only occur when the template is a duplicate.

Show or Hide Hidden Expressions

You can toggle between showing or hiding hidden expressions in the text of a document template.

To check whether a document template contains hidden expressions:

  1. Open the template in the Document Template editor.

  2. Select Toggle Hidden Text located in the toolbar. Hidden expressions that might be contained in the template become visible.

  3. Select the toggle icon once more to hide the expressions.
