Download Company Data from ASIC

You can download company data from ASIC's EDGE system and use it to create a company record in Diligent Entities that is pre-populated with the data.

It is possible to download the following data:

If you want to download company data from ASIC into Diligent Entities, you must first be the registered agent for those companies.

To download the data and create a new company record:

Go to Working Documents > Electronic Filing > For Australia.

The Australian Electronic Filing Wizard displays.
Select the Download Data Wizard (RA71) option and select Next.

The ASIC Download Data Wizard opens.
Enter the name and the ACN of the company you want to download data for. Select Next.
On the Data Download page, select Data Download as the download type and select Next.

You have other options here, for example, you can choose to download the company's current company statement. The Data Download option downloads company details that ASIC has.
On the Signatory page, find and select the signatory, then select Next.
On the Date of Signing page, enter the date the request was signed and select the I declare that the agent is authorized to request this report option.
Select Finish to complete the wizard.
Go to Working Documents > Electronic Filing and select Send and Receive to send the request to ASIC.

You can use the Limit to my EF messages only option to only send and receive forms that you e-filed.

Note

You may get an error message when trying to connect to ASIC's system. If that is the case, try using the Send and Receive option multiple times in order to establish the connection with ASIC.
Once the status shows as completed, select Finish.
Go to Working Documents and find the data download document. If its status is Received and Accepted, the company data has been imported. You can find the company under All Searches > Companies.
