Create an Annual Return (Ireland) 2020 Data Library

Create an Annual Return (Ireland) 2020 Data Library to store additional details required for a B1 form.

Additional details such as financial period start and end dates, and information related to a company's audit requirements need to be submitted with a B1 form. Supporting documents must be uploaded to a Form Attachments (Ireland) data library.

  1. Go to the required company record and select Data Library > Statutory > Annual Return (Ireland) 2020 > New.

The New: Annual Return (Ireland) 2020 page displays.

  2. In the Summary section, ensure that Annual Return (Ireland) 2020 is selected and and set the status to active.

Use the Assigned To field to select a user to manage this record.

  3. In the Annual Return (Ireland) CRO2020 section, enter the from and to dates and select the type of annual return to be filed.

The B1 form submission process is date sensitive. Enter dates in the fields provided to specify the data library's period of applicability. Alternatively, to use only one data library record each year, leave these fields empty.

  4. For Audit Exemption, select an exemption option, if applicable.

  5. If financial statements are to be submitted with the B1 form, select the Financial Statements/Auditors Report supplied? checkbox. If no financial statement is to be submitted, select an exemption option.

  6. Enter the Auditor Registration Number into the field provided if the company's accounts are audited.

    Note

Only enter the Audit Registration Number if the company is not claiming exemption from audit.

  7. Select the As per Part 6 Companies Act 2014 option to certify that the accounts are originals or true copies.

  8. In the Signatory Override part, select the Using different signatory to B1 signatory? option if the company secretary signing the annual return is different to the company secretary appointed at the annual return date and use the Secretary Signatory (override) field to enter or find and select the name of the new secretary.

If no details are entered, the signatory is derived from the signed B1 form.

  9. Select an option in the Company Size part to indicate the company size.

  10. In the No EEA Resident Directors part, you can indicate that a Section 137 bond is to be supplied manually and that a B67 certificate is in place and applicable by selecting the relevant option.

The CRO does not support the electronic submission of the Section 137 bond. However, if applicable, the Section 137 Bond checkbox can be selected to indicate that the bond will be supplied manually, for example, by post. When you send the bond, make sure to include a covering letter indicating the company name, company number, the type of form submitted and the submission reference number so that the CRO can match the posted bond to the e-filed form.

    Note

The Section 137 bond and the B67 certificate are shown as N/A on other B1X forms generated by Diligent Entities as they are not applicable to other types of the annual return form.

  11. In the Attachments part, indicate what attachments are to be provided.

The attachment types selected must correspond with the supporting documents uploaded to a related and active Form Attachments (Ireland) data library.

  12. Select Save to create the data library.

The details are saved and the new Annual Return (Ireland) 2020 data library is created.
