Update ultimate parents

You can update the ultimate parents for one company or multiple companies at the same time.

In the company record, the Ultimate Parents page under Group displays information about the company's ultimate parents. A company's ultimate parent details are not updated automatically. If a change to a company's shareholdings or a change in corporate relationships would mean a change in the company's ultimate parents, use the Update Ultimate Parents wizard to update the ultimate parent information.

You can access the Update Ultimate Parents wizard as follows:

  1. In All Searches > Companies where you have the option to update the ultimate parents for multiple companies.
  2. In the Ultimate Parents page in Group in the company record where you can update the ultimate parents for the given company.
  3. In the Company Details in the company record where you can update the ultimate parents for the given company.

Note

The Update Ultimate Parents wizard is available to users who have the Update Ultimate Parents user role right enabled for their user role. To access the Ultimate Parents page and the Ultimate Parents section in Company Details, users must also have the Ultimate Parents in Group and Ultimate Parents in Company Details user role rights enabled respectively.

Follow the steps below to update the ultimate parents for multiple companies.

  1. Go to All Searches > Companies.

  2. Use the search options to list the companies you want to change the ultimate parent for.

  3. Select Wizards > Administration > Update Ultimate Parents.

    The Update Ultimate Parents Wizard opens.

  4. On the Select Companies page of the wizard, review the list of selected companies and amend if required.

  5. Select Finish.

    The information about ultimate parents on the Ultimate Parents page under Group in the company record is now up to date for the selected companies.
