Default search pin
The Default Search Pin is a simpler way of creating default searches.
The Default Search Pin enables users to save and recall specific search parameters to more efficiently create new companies, individuals, other entities and group structures.
A Default Search Pin is available for use on each search page.
To create a default search using the Default Search Pin:
- Navigate to a search page (for example, Companies) and conduct a search.
- Select the Default Search Pin (located next to the Clear icon, above the returned results).
- The current search is run once more and saved as the default search for the selected entity type.
- A message displays in the bottom right-hand corner to confirm the update.
- When next returning to conduct a search, the default search parameters will be automatically applied and return the related results.
Note
Once a Default Search has been created it will not be deleted, but can be replaced by saving a new Default Search.
To replace an existing default search created with the Default Search Pin:
- Select the Clear icon.
- Select the Default Search Pin.
- Unfiltered results are returned and saved as the new default search.
To clear the search currently on screen:
- Select the Clear icon.
- All specified parameters are reset.
(If navigating away from the screen and a Default Search is set), when next returning to conduct a search, the default search parameters will be automatically applied and return the related results.
