Company Options

The Company Options wizard enables you to set defaults for company related options, including: certificates, registers, share digits and other options, resetting of the numbering for certificates or share transactions, or configuring the automatic calculations for Share Class voting and capital weightings for specific Companies.

To access the Company Options wizard:

1. Open the Company in question.

2. Go to Company Details > Wizards > Administration > Company Options Wizard.

   Validations

   This tells you the name of the validation set that the Company is currently following:

   Should you want to change this, deselect the checkbox Set Validations Automatically and select the Validation Set you want to use. Do not re-select the checkbox or it will reset to its original setting.

   Templates

   This is where you can specify if the Company you are in should use specific templates for an event. This is required if you are using custom made templates:

   Numbering

   This is where you can reset the numbering for share allotments, transfers, certificates, mortgages and charges and sealings.

   Miscellaneous

   You can enable the use of the Automatic Calculation of Share Class Voting and Capital Weightings here. You can also turn on/off the Prompt for Beneficial Owner for Companies, following the validation set in question:

   Document Reference

   This is where you can specify which fields, if any, you want to appear at the bottom of all documentation produced by the system for this particular Company. The system will take the fields that were selected in System Options unless specified otherwise:

   Deselect System Default Document Reference Settings and select the relevant fields, if you would like the documents produced for this Company to have different references to those selected in the System Options.

   Digits

   Here you are able to select the number of digits and decimal places you want to be able to use for shares, dividends and debentures in this Company, if they are to be different to the defaults selected in System Options:

   Certificates

   Select here whether a Seal or Signature is required for certificates that are generated for this Company. It will use the System Default unless otherwise selected:

   Resolutions

   Select the type of Resolution this Company normally uses. It will use the System Default unless otherwise selected:

   Registers

   Select the options for Registers for this Company. It will use the System Default unless otherwise selected:

   As Corporate Options

   Disable certificates for this entity – If this Company is a Corporate Shareholder or Debenture Holder, the selection of this option disables certificates being generated for it, following allotments of shares or issues of debentures.

   Do not print other directorships on forms and registers – If this Company is a Corporate Director of multiple entities, the configuration of this option prevents a listing of its (external) directorships on any forms and registers produced by the system:

3. Select Finish to save any amendments.
