Verify Your Email Address to Access the Help Centre

To access to the Help Centre, email addresses stored against Diligent Entities user profiles will need to be verified.

This verification process will need to take place for all users. Existing users will need to undertake the verification process again if they attempt to access the Help Centre following an email address change.

Ensure that a valid email address is stored against your user profile before beginning the verification process.

To verify an email address and gain Help Centre access:

  • Sign in to Diligent Entities and hover over the Support icon (?) located in the top right-hand corner of the My Portal screen.

An email verification message displays.

  • Select the message.

The Email Verification wizard opens.

  • Review the email address displayed.

If it is not correct, close the wizard, navigate to My Preferences and update the Email detail before returning to this wizard.

If the email stated is correct:

  • Select Verify Email.

An email containing a Verification Code is sent to the stated email address.

An Email Sent success message displays.

The screen updates to display a Verification Code entry field.

If the email does not display in your inbox, check your junk/spam folder.

If you still have not received the email, select Resend Verification Code to send a new email containing a new Verification Code.

  • Retrieve the Verification Code from the email and enter it into the field provided.
  • Select Finish.

If the verification is successful:

A message confirming that your email has been verified and that you can now access the Help Centre displays on screen.

  • Select OK.

The wizard closes.

  • Navigate back to the Support icon (?)

Incorrect Verification Code entry

If the Verification Code has been entered incorrectly, after selecting Finish, an information message will display on screen.

  • Select OK to close the dialogue box.
  • Select Resend Verification Code.

A new Verification Code email is sent to the stated email address.

  • Retrieve the Verification Code from the email and enter it into the field provided to continue with the verification process.

Shared email addresses

If a shared email address is recorded against more than one user in the application (for example, a single group email is used by a department to access Diligent entities), each user will need to complete the verification process for their individual user profile.

Users with no email address

If a user has no email address recorded against their user profile, the following screen will display when the Email Verification wizard is opened.

An email address will need to be recorded against the user profile in order to complete the verification process.

First, ensure that the Change User Contact Details security option is enabled in System Tools (System Tools > System Security > User Roles > [Selected User Role] > Next > User Security > Change User Preferences).

Without this security right enabled, a standard user cannot add an email address to their profile and will require the assistance of a User with access to System Tools (who can either enable the option for the user, or add an email address to their profile).

Standard users, who have the option enabled, should follow the three steps outlined at the bottom of the screen to add an email address to their profile.

Users with access to System Tools, who have the option enabled, can add an email address to their profile by selecting the My Preferences link on screen.
