Managing your password
You can reset or change your password that you use to sign in to Diligent One.
Diligent One includes a security setting that determines whether passwords meet complexity requirements. For more information, see Diligent Security.
If your company uses single sign-on (SSO) to log in to Diligent One, you need to reset your password within your SSO Identity Provider.
Reset your password
If you have forgotten your password, follow these steps to reset it:
-
Go to www.diligentoneplatform.com.
- On the login page, select Reset password.
- Enter the email address associated with your Diligent One account and select Send reset instructions.
- Check your email inbox for a message with instructions for resetting your password.
Note
Email notifications are sent from notifications@diligentoneplatform.com or notifications@highbond.com unless your company has set up a custom sender. For more information, see Set up a custom email sender.
-
From the email, select Reset your password.
The Reset password dialog box opens.
- Enter and confirm your new password.
- Select Reset.
- Enter your email and new password to login.
Admin-initiated password reset
Your organization's System Admin can initiate a password reset for you from the new user management UI. This helps you regain access without waiting for Support or initiating the password reset yourself.
After the password reset is initiated, you receive an email with the name of the System Admin who requested the reset.
Your current password becomes invalid. To sign in again, do the following:
-
From the email, select Set your password.
The Reset password dialog box opens.
- Enter and confirm your new password.
- Select Reset.
- Enter your email and new password to login.
Change your password
You must change your password periodically to improve security.
-
Open the Platform home page (www.diligentoneplatform.com).
Note
If your company uses more than one instance in Platform home page, make sure the appropriate instance is active.
- Select
>Profile.
- Click Change password.
- Enter your current password and type in your new password twice.
- Click Change password.
Password expiry for multiple organizations
If you use the same Diligent One account across multiple organizations, each organization may have its own password expiry policy. Your password expires based on the most restrictive policy among all the organizations you belong to.
For example, if you belong to three organizations with password expiry periods of 365, 90, and 60 days, your password expires every 60 days.
If you have questions about your password expiry, contact your System Admin or Diligent Support.
