Configuring issue types
Configuring issue types allows you to group issues by type to streamline issue management and assignment. Each type can represent a specific business unit or purpose, making it easier to decide which Issue manager should be responsible for a type of issue.
You can assign users to types. When assigned, a user becomes the Type manager and can manage resources such as issue templates, service level agreements, and other information connected to that type.
You can delete a type only if it is not currently linked to any issues with Open or In Progress status. This prevents the removal of types that are still used in active workflows.
