Uploading files
After collecting the required materials for a meeting, you can upload the files into a book, allowing directors, executives, and other board members to access them.
Acceptable file types
The following file types are supported in Boards:

Microsoft Word .doc, .dot, .docx, .docm, .dotx, .dotm, .rtf

Microsoft Excel .xls, .xlt, .xlsx, .xlsm, .xltx, .xltm, .xlsb
-
Microsoft PowerPoint .ppt, .pot, .pps, .pptx, .pptm, .potx, .potm, .ppsx, .ppsm
-
Adobe PDF documents .pdf
-
Common image formats .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe, .png, .bmp, .tif, .tiff
Add files to a tab
Tabs help you organize meeting materials.

From the Bookshelf, select Edit on a book’s row.
You are taken to the Build book tab.
Any existing tabs or sub tabs are displayed.

Select the arrow icon

The tab expands.

Select and hold a file from your local computer, and then drag it over the Drag files here or select files to upload field.
Let go of the mouse to place the file in the tab.

If you do not want to use drag-and-drop, you can select the Drag files here or select files to upload field.
A file picker appears.

Select a file from your local computer, and then select Open.

The Upload documents panel appears.
The file is added to the tab in the order it appears on the Upload documents panel.

Select Upload.
The file begins to upload to the tab. Once uploaded and converted, the file appears within the tab.

Files must be approved before they appear in the book. For more information, see Approving files .
