Amending the Validations

If you want to amend the preconfigured options in a validation set, it is recommended that you either clone an existing set or create a new validation set, as the standard options have been configured according to various Companies Acts.

In addition, amending the standard validation set will affect all Companies using that validation set, whereas creating a new set or cloning validations allow you to apply the validation set to the selected Companies.

To clone an existing validation set, select this option from the Options Menu adjacent to the validation set that you want to clone.

• Enter a unique Quick Reference and Description.

• Select Next and work through the validations, enabling or disabling the relevant options.
• Select Finish once completed.

To apply a new validation set to a Company, navigate to:

• The Company Details page of the Company.
• Wizards > Administration > Company Options Wizard.

• Deselect Set Validations Automatically and use the dropdown menu to select the new validation set.

• Select Finish.

If you would like the new validation set to appear nearer the top of the dropdown menu, this can be amended by altering the sequence number. To do this:

• Use the Options Menu next to the relevant validation set and select the option Move to Seq. entering the new sequence number.
