Interpretaties maken en beheren

Elke tabel in uw verzameling begint met een standaardinterpretatie. De standaardinterpretatie is de weergave die is opgegeven voor correcties en het verwerken van records. Alle wijzigingen die worden opgeslagen, bieden een vooraf geconfigureerde weergave waartoe andere gebruikers toegang hebben bij het verwerken van records. U kunt ook nieuwe interpretaties maken. Elke interpretatie biedt een unieke weergave van de gegevens in de onderliggende brontabel. Met deze structuur kunt u meerdere weergaven maken van de gegevens op basis van dimensies zoals regio, kwartaal of elke andere categorie die u gebruikt om gegevens in te delen en te isoleren.

U kunt de interpretaties gebruiken om storyboards te maken in de Storyboards-app. U moet de interpretatie opslaan (zelfs de standaardinterpretatie) om deze te gebruiken in de Storyboards-app.

Opmerking

De mogelijkheid om interpretaties te maken en op te slaan, is afhankelijk van uw toegewezen rol. Alleen Professionele beheerders kunnen een standaardinterpretatie aanpassen en opslaan. Zowel Professionele beheerders als Professionele gebruikers kunnen nieuwe interpretaties maken.

Een interpretatie openen

  1. From the Platform home page (www.diligentoneplatform.com), select the Results app to open it.

    If you are already in Diligent One, you can use the left-hand navigation menu to switch to the Results app.

  2. Open the collection that contains the table you want to work with.
  3. For the table you want to open:
    1. To open the default interpretation, click the table you want to open.
    2. If that table has other interpretations, click the number in theInterpretationscolumn, then click the interpretation you want to open.

Een interpretatie maken of opslaan

Note

Only Professional Managers can save the default interpretation. Any saved changes to the default view show for other users.

  1. Open an interpretation.
  2. Make any changes required, and in the upper-right corner, clickSaveand thenSave.
  3. To create a new interpretation:
    1. In the upper-right corner, click Save and thenSave As.
    2. Enter the following:
      • TitelEnter a meaningful name for the interpretation. The title can be a maximum of 80 characters.
      • SamenvattingOptional. Enter a description for the interpretation.
    3. Click Save.

Rename an interpretation

Note

Only Professional Managers and Professional Users can rename an interpretation.

  1. Open an interpretation.
  2. In the upper-right corner, click More Actions > Rename interpretation.

    Rename interpretation dialog box appears.

  3. Enter a new title and summary, and click Save.

    The interpretation is renamed successfully.

Copy an interpretation

You can copy an interpretation with all its visualizations to another table. Note that you copy only the configuration of the interpretation and not its data.

For example, the interpretation you want to copy may contain a table with a few visualizations. You can copy the configuration applied to both the table and the visualizations, such as table filters, table sorting, field formatting, visualization types, and visualization fields.

You can copy the interpretation either to a table within the same collection or a different collection, as long as the name and data type of the fields in the source table matches with the destination table. Note that only those fields that are used in the table or the chart of the source interpretation must match with the fields in the destination table.

With regard to the table types, you can copy an interpretation:

  • From a Data Analytic table to a Data Analytic table only.
  • From a Survey table to a Survey or an Event Report table only.
  • From an Event Report table to a Survey or an Event Report table only.

Important

You cannot copy an interpretation to a different collection, if the source and the destination tables are linked to the same questionnaire and the questionnaire fields are being used in the table or visualization configuration.

Note

Only Professional Managers and Professional Users can copy an interpretation.

  1. Open an interpretation.
  2. Click More Actions > Copy interpretation to.

    The Copy interpretation to panel opens.

  3. Select the tables where you want to copy the interpretation.
  4. Click Copy.

    ResultaatThe interpretation is copied to the selected tables.

Important

Avoid using duplicate names when copying an interpretation.

When you copy an interpretation, if the destination table has an interpretation with the same name, then the copied interpretation is appended with a counter: (1), (2), etc. This may increase the length of the title above 80 characters, which in turn can lead to an error. To resolve this error, you must rename the interpretation either in the source or the destination.

Describe or summarize an interpretation

When you create an interpretation, you can provide a summary that describes the interpretation. That information is then available to anyone who views the interpretation. If the person who created an interpretation did not add a summary, or you want to change it, you can change the summary from the interpretation itself.

Note

Only Professional Managers and Professional Users can change an interpretation's summary.

  1. Open an interpretation.
  2. Click the icon beside the breadcrumb trail.
  3. In the popup, click the summary or placeholder text that already exists.
  4. Type a summary.
  5. Click Save. The new summary is saved.

Een interpretatie verwijderen

Als u een interpretatie niet meer nodig hebt, kunt u deze verwijderen. Het verwijderen van een interpretatie verwijdert ook alle visualisaties die op basis van die interpretatie zijn gemaakt en verwijdert deze visualisaties uit storyboards. De tabel waarin deze interpretatie voorkomt, wordt hierdoor niet verwijderd.

  2. Open the collection that contains the table with an interpretation you want to delete.
  3. For the table with the interpretation you want to delete, click the number in the Interpretations column.
  4. Click the icon next to the interpretation you want to delete.
  5. Click OK.
