Create and configure a Pending Event Workflow: Events
Once configured, a Pending Events Workflow can be attached to any of the Events listed on the Events screen.
Active status
Events are active by default, indicated by an X in the Active column.
Activate all Events
If all Events are listed without an Active status:
- Select the Workflows tab.
The Workflows screen displays.
- Locate the Default Workflow listing and select the Options Menu icon.
A dropdown menu displays.
- Select the Activate / Inactive option.
The workflow is marked as Active.
All Events on the Events screen are marked as Active and are enabled for selection.
Deactivate an individual Event
The Workflows Event wizard can also be used to deactivate an Event with an Active status.
To deactivate an Event:
- Select the Open (Folder) icon for the listed Event.
The Workflow Events wizard displays.
- Select the Event Type dropdown menu to select the required Event from those available (for example, Change Company Name).
- Select the Workflow dropdown menu and select the blank option.
- Select Finish.
The status of the selected Event Type is no longer marked as Active on the Events screen.
Attach a Pending Event Workflow to an Event
To attach a Pending Event Workflow to one of the listed Events:
- Select the Open icon next to the required Event listing. For this example, the Change Company Name event is selected.
The related Workflow Events wizard displays.
- Select the Workflow dropdown menu and select the workflow that is to be attached to this Event.
- Once selected, select Finish.
The selected workflow is attached to the selected Event and the configuration change is listed on the Events screen.
New button
Alternatively, a workflow can be attached by selecting New.
- Select New.
The Workflow Events wizard displays.
- Select the Event Type dropdown menu to select the required Event from those available.
- Select the Workflow dropdown menu to select the workflow that is to be attached to the Event.
Note
If the workflow selected has already been applied to the selected Event Type, a notification will display, requesting that a different workflow be selected.
- Once selected, select Finish.
The selected workflow is attached to the selected Event and the configuration change is listed on the Events screen.
One Event, different Pending Event Workflows
More than one Pending Event Workflow can be associated with a single Event type. Using the New button method, different workflows can be quickly attached to the same Event Type (for example, Change Company Name) when needed.
