Supported file formats

While Diligent Data Room supports storing all file formats in your Private Workspace and Data Rooms, certain features require file conversion to PDF format. Document preview, AI summarization, and certain sharing options support only the formats listed in the table below.

Important

  • Files stored in unsupported formats (such as .zip, .mp4, .exe, or .rar) can be uploaded and stored but cannot be previewed or summarized within Data Room.

  • Complex formatting, macros, or embedded media may not appear exactly as in the original file after conversion.
