Deinstalling the Direct Link add-on

The following procedure must be completed by your SAP Basis Administrator.

If required, you can deinstall version 8 of the Direct Link add-on (ACLDL 800_750) from an SAP S/4HANA system.

Deinstalling version 7.5 or earlier of the Direct Link add-on from an SAP system is not currently supported.

Before you begin

In order to use the SAP deinstall option, the Support Package Manager (SAP SPAM) on the S/4HANA system must be version 0053 or higher.

If necessary, upgrade the version of SAP SPAM before performing the deinstallation.

Deinstall the Direct Link add-on

Use the SAP Front End to perform the deinstallation.

  1. Sign in to Client 000 on the S/4HANA system.

  2. Run the SAINT transaction to access the Add-On Installation Tool.
  3. Select the Deinstallable components tab.
  4. Select the ACLDL Add-On and click Start.

    A deinstallation warning message appears. The Direct Link add-on does not store data on the SAP system so you can ignore the warning.

  5. Keep the default start options and click Continue .

    The Direct Link add-on appears in the Imported deinstallation queue.

  6. Click Finish to complete the deinstallation.

    The Direct Link add-on is deinstalled and a notification appears:

    The import of the OCS queue was successfully finished!

  7. Click Do not send.

    ACLDL no longer appears in the Installed Components tab.
