Refreshing SAP system information

There are two methods for updating the Direct Link client with the current SAP system information configured in the SAP Logon Pad:

• Users can click the Refresh button in the Direct Link Logon dialog box, if the button is enabled.
• If the Refresh button is disabled, users can uninstall and reinstall the Direct Link client.

Enabling the Refresh button

To enable the Refresh button for a user, the following requirements must be in place:

• The SAP system information must be stored in the saplogon.ini configuration file on the user's computer.

  If SAP system information is stored in the SAPUILandscape.xml configuration file, the Refresh feature cannot be enabled.

• The user must have Full control permissions for the folder where the SAP RFC library file (sapnwrfc.ini) is located.

  The folder location is specified in the RFC_INI environment variable. The default location is: C:\Program Files (x86)\ACL Software\Direct Link.
