Managing Case Reject codes

When users reject or delete a caseClosed Assigned to a third party profile related to a questionnaire sent for response, due diligence investigation, or other action., they identify the code for the rejection or deletion. See Working with case management, Reject/Close.

If you have the correct permissions, you can add, update, inactivate, or delete a Case Reject/Close Code. It typically takes a day for the new code to synchronize.

Update, inactivate, or delete a code

  1. From your dashboard left menu or the link at the top of the page, if available, select Settings.

  2. Select the Content Control tab then the Fields/List tab.

  3. In the View dropdown list, select Case Reject/Close Codes.

  4. Perform any of the following:

    • Select to delete a code. You cannot delete codes that have been used in a case record. You can inactivate the code so it does not display in a dropdown selection list.

    • Select to edit or control the activation of a code. On the Edit Custom FieldClosed A field is a way to input information, often a question. dialog, perform one of the following:

      • Edit the information then select Save.

      • Select the Inactive checkbox to inactivate the code then select Save.

Add a code

  1. From your dashboard left menu or the link at the top of the page, if available, select Settings.

  2. Select the Content Control tab then the Fields/List tab.

  3. In the View dropdown list, select Case Reject/Close Codes.

  4. Select the Add New button to add a new code.

    • Case Reject Code: Enter the code in the format of two digits, a hyphen, then letters and spaces, for example 07-Security Breach.

    • Return Status: Identify the status the case will convert to when the Case Reject Code is selected.

    • Case Origin: Identify the origin of the case that the Case Reject Code will be available for:

      • DDQ: The case was automatically created by a DDQ action.
      • Manual: The case was manually created.
      • Both: The case can originate from a DDQ action or manual creation.
    • Description: Add a description of the Case Reject/Close Code.

    • Inactive: If the checkbox is selected, the code will not be available for the users to select. You can activate the code later by deselecting this checkbox.

  5. Select the Save button.
