Creating a new user

User managers can add new users, then authorize their Boards account.

Note

Before adding a user to the Boards app, they must have access to the Diligent One-Plattform. Your organization's System Administrator manages access to Diligent One-Plattform. For more information, see Adding and managing users.

Add a user

This section describes how to add new users to the Boards app.

  1. Select Users in the Navigation panel.

    You are taken to the Users page.

    A list of the current Boards users is displayed.

  2. Select Add user on top of the page.

    The Add user panel appears. The Add user panel displays a list of users in your organization with access to the Diligent One-Plattform.

  3. Select the radio button next to a user's name.

  4. Select Continue.

  5. Select the Committee dropdown menu.

    A list of committees is displayed.

  6. Select a committee from the list.

    The user is added to the committee.

  7. Select the checkbox next to one or more Roles. For more information, see Roles and permissions in Boards.

    The user is assigned this role in the committee.

  8. Select Continue.

  9. Optional: you can assign the user an application-level manager role.

    Select the checkbox next to one or more application-level roles to assign them to the user, and then select Continue.

    You return to the Users page.

Authorize a user

For security, you cannot authorize a user you create. Another User manager must authorize new users before they can access the Boards app. This section describes how to authorize a user.

  1. From the Users page, select the User authorization tab.

    A list of users awaiting authorization is displayed.

  2. Select Approve to authorize a user's account.

    Once authorized, the user's profile is visible on the User management tab.

Note

You cannot authorize any users you create. The Approve button appears in read-only mode next to the users you added to the Boards app. Another User manager must authorize these users' accounts. Contact your Client Account Manager or Support for assistance.
