Navigating the Bookshelf

The Bookshelf displays all the books you have access to, including published and unpublished books. By default, you’ll be taken to the Current books tab in the Bookshelf. The Current books tab displays all your books with current or future meeting dates. To view archived books, select the Archived books tab.

Note

The Bookshelf is populated with books that you or another administrator created, published, or archived. It appears empty until you or another administrator creates or archives a book. See Creating a book or Archiving a book for more information.

Change the view

By default, the Bookshelf is presented in the Quick look view. You can change the view to Compact. This section describes each view and how you can switch between them.

Quick look view

From the Quick look view, you can see a list of books in the center of the screen. A blue book icon on a book's row indicates the book is published, and directors have access to it. When a pink book icon is displayed on a book's row, the book is unpublished. Only administrators have access to unpublished books.

Select anywhere on a book's row to open the side panel and view more details, including:

  • Meeting date

  • Committees

  • Update history

You can also see options for administrative tasks, including Edit, on the side panel. For more information, see Editing a book

To change the view, select Compact.

Compact view

The Compact view includes a list of books with more details displayed on the book's row, rather than the side panel. You may need to move down the page to see the complete list of books.

You can also see options for administrative tasks on the book's row, including Edit book. Select Access to manage book access. Select Properties to edit the book's properties. For more information, see Managing book properties and access

Open a book

To open a book, select Edit on the book’s row. You can also select the book's title. You’ll be taken to the Build book tab.
