Charts
Bring your Quick Reports searches to life using charts. Charts and graphs created in Quick Reports display in the Charts tile on the Dashboard.
Create a chart
To create a visualisation of your data:
- Configure a Quick Reports search.
- Select the Charts icon.
- In the Group field, select the option you want to group the data by.
Selecting one of the options determines how the data is grouped in the chart. In this example, the data is grouped by country.
- In the Chart field, select the type of chart you want to see your data in.
The chart options are donut, pie, bar horizontal and bar vertical. Once you select one, the data is presented in the selected format.
- Expand Actions and select Save as New My Chart or Save as New Shared Chart depending on whether you want to share this chart with others.
- In the Save as New My Chart or Save as New Shared Chart dialogue that appears, enter a name for the chart and select the Add Chart to My Dashboard option if you want to add the chart to your own Dashboard or select the Dashboards you want to add it to.
- Select Save.
Add or remove charts in the dashboard
To display or remove a chart in the Charts tile in the Dashboard:
- Select the three dot menu in the Charts tile.
A list of available and already added charts displays.
- Select the checkbox for any charts you want to add. Remove the selection from the checkbox for the charts you no longer want displayed.
- Select Done.
Export charts
Select the image icon to export the chart displayed in the Charts tile to PNG format.
Change order of data
Data in the Charts tile can be displayed in ascending and descending order. By default, the data is displayed in default order when the page is loaded.
Change chart type
Select Chart to change the chart type. Once the chart type has been selected, the changes are displayed in the Charts tile.
