Data integrity

Data integrity monitoring helps you maintain accurate records on UK companies by automatically comparing your Entities data against official information from Companies House. The system monitors data for discrepancies in near real time and alerts you when differences are detected, so you can review and resolve them.

Note

To view data integrity information, you need the Data integrity user role right assigned to your account.

Data integrity monitoring is available in modernized Entities.

How it works

Data integrity monitoring uses the Companies House Streaming API to continuously check official company data against the information stored in Entities. When the system detects a mismatch, it notifies you of the discrepancy. Review the details of the discrepancy.

The system currently monitors the following company information fields:

  • Company number
  • Company name
  • Incorporation date
  • Company type
  • Company status

An upcoming release will add monitoring for addresses and officers.

You can view detailed side-by-side comparisons showing the Companies House value and the Entities value for each discrepancy.
