Set up Electronic Filing Agents
Companies can authorise an electronic filing agent (EFA) to sign and file forms electronically with the Companies Registration Office (CRO).
-
Go to System Tools > User-Defined Fields > All People and make the CRO EF Agent ID field visible.
Note
System Tools can only be accessed by users with administrator rights.
Refer to User-Defined Fields (UDFs) to learn how to change the visibility of user-defined fields.
-
Create a record for the registered filing agent.
Electronic filing agents can be added to Diligent Entities as other entities or companies, as well as individuals if the EFA is a natural person and not a corporate entity. Refer to Create a company, Create an individual, and Create an other entity for more information on how to create an entity.
Note
Where the registered agent is a corporate entity with individual representatives signing forms on their behalf, the individuals also need to have their records created and configured for ROS signature in Diligent Entities.
-
Go to the Entity Details and provide any other details required for the EFA, for example, incorporation date and company number.
-
On the Entity Details page select Wizards > Electronic Filing > IE ROS Wizard.
-
In the Efile IE ROS wizard that displays, select the Use ROS Certification option and select Finish to set up the EFA to sign forms electronically.
