My Portal
The My Portal page is the default view that displays on the Global Screen when a user logs in.
As the page is configurable, the information displayed can vary for each user. The information that displays can be changed by either opting for a different Home Page in My Preferences, or by choosing Configure on the page itself.
By default, the My Portal page includes the following sections:
- My Favourite Entities
- My Recently Opened Entities
- My Reminders
The following options are also available on the My Portal page:
- Upload
- Wizards
- Configure
My Favourite Entities
Entities that have been added to the favourites are listed in the My Favourite Entities section. Each entry acts as a shortcut to the specific entity. Select the folder icon or the entity name to open the record directly from the My Portal page.
Add an entity to My Favourite Entities
An entity can be added to the My Favourite Entities list from the search page or the entity record.
To add an entity to the My Favourite Entities list from the search page:

Go to the relevant search page, for example, All Searches > Companies, and complete a search.

Select Options
for the entity.
The Options Menu displays.

Select the Add to My Favourites option.
A notification displays stating that the favourite has been added.

Go back to the My Portal page. The selected entity displays in the My Favourite Entities list.
To add an entity to the My Favourite Entities list from the entity record:

Go to the relevant entity record and open it, for example, go to All Searches > Companies and choose the required entity's folder icon.

Select Company Details.
The Company Details page displays.

Select Wizards to see the menu.

Select the Add to My Favourites option.
A notification displays stating that the favourite has been added.

Go back to the My Portal page. The selected entity displays in the My Favourite Entities list.
Remove an entity from My Favourite Entities
An entity can be removed from the My Favourite Entities list from the My Portal page or the entity record.
To remove an entity from the My Favourite Entities list from the My Portal page:

Select the X icon for the entity record.
A confirmation dialogue displays, requiring confirmation of the action.

Select OK on the confirmation dialogue.
A notification displays stating that the favourite has been deleted from the list.
To remove an entity from the My Favourite Entities list from the My Portal page:

Go to the relevant entity record and open it, for example, go to All Searches > Companies and choose the required entity's folder icon.

Select Company Details.
The Company Details page displays.

Select Wizards to see the menu.

Select the Remove from My Favourites option.
A notification displays stating that the favourite has been deleted from the list.
My Recently Opened Entities
In the My Recently Opened Entities section the user can see the last 5 entity records they accessed. Select the folder icon or the entity name to open the record directly from the My Portal page.
My Reminders
The My Reminders section displays any due or overdue tasks or events assigned to the user. Only reminders falling into the specified time period are displayed.
To adjust the time period, select the My Reminders for the next dropdown menu and select an option.
To display any historical reminders, select the Include reminders before today checkbox.
Add a reminder to Microsoft Outlook Calendar

Contact your IT department for assistance with connecting the Entities app to a different email provider.
To add reminders to a Microsoft Outlook Calendar:

In the My Reminders section, choose the calendar icon for the reminder you want to add.
A menu displays.

Select the Add to Calendar option.
Microsoft Outlook launches and adds the reminder to your calendar.
Email notifications can also be set up for reminders by selecting the Email Reminder option and specifying recipients and defining the email message to be sent.
Upload
The Upload option enables users to easily upload documents into the Entities app. For more information refer to Upload Documents.
Wizards
The Wizards option enables users to create new entities from the My Portal page.
Choosing Wizards reveals the different entities that can be created. Selecting an option launches the respective New Entity wizard.
Tip
New entities can also be created from the relevant search page and from the New Records option in the Global Banner.
Configure
It is possible to customise the appearance of the My Portal page by choosing Configure.
When you select Configure, the My Portal Configuration page displays.
Users can customise what and how they want to see on the My Portal page.
