Entities AI Assistant in Microsoft Teams
The Entities AI Assistant app in Microsoft Teams lets you access key corporate information without going to Entities. You can ask questions the same way you would when using Entities AI Assistant in Entities interface.

Entities AI Assistant is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature. For information on how AI features use Entities data, refer to Entities AI transparency notice.

AI enhancements are available to clients with the Entities Platform package and clients who joined the Entities AI Early adopter program. For more information, contact your Customer Success Manager.
AI features are inactive by default. Before you can use them, your organization's administrator must provision them for you. For information on how to activate AI features, refer to Managing AI features.
Get started with the Entities AI Assistant app
You can use the Entities AI Assistant app as an individual chat or add it to a Teams channel.
Depending on your organization’s policy, your technology team may automatically add Entities AI Assistant for you, or you may have to add it on your own.
To start using the Entities AI Assistant app, you need a site link from your administrator.
Add Entities AI Assistant as an individual app
Follow the steps below to add Entities AI Assistant as an individual app.
- In Microsoft Teams, go to Apps > Added by your org.
- Enter "Diligent Entities AI Assistant" in the search bar.
- On the app listing page, select Add.
- Select Open.
- Enter your organization’s site link and select Confirm.
- Sign in to Entities AI Assistant to begin asking questions.
Note
For quick access to the Entities AI Assistant app, you can pin it in Microsoft Teams. Right-click the app in the left-hand navigation bar and select Pin.
Add Entities AI Assistant to a channel
You can add Entities AI Assistant as a tab in a Microsoft Teams channel. Before anyone in the channel can use it, you must configure the Entities Assistant AI app with your organization’s site link from your administrator.
You can add Entities AI Assistant using the Apps option, or directly in the channel.
Follow the steps below to add Entities AI Assistant to a channel.
- In the channel, select + in the top bar.
- In the search bar, enter "Entities AI Assistant" and select the app from the list of results.
- Enter your organization’s site link and select Confirm.

Select Save.
Entities AI Assistant becomes a tab in the channel. Each user must sign in to the app using their Entities credentials or company SSO before they can use the app.
Sign in to Entities AI Assistant in Microsoft Teams
You must sign in to Entities AI Assistant before you can start using it in Microsoft Teams.
- Go to Entities AI Assistant in the left-hand navigation bar in Teams or open the Entities AI Assistant tab in a channel.
- Select Sign in.
A login screen opens in a new window.
- Sign in using your Entities credentials or your organization’s SSO.
After you sign in, you can start asking questions in the Entities AI Assistant chat.
Using Entities AI Assistant in Microsoft Teams
The Entities AI Assistant app can answer the same questions as the AI Assistant in Entities. You can access the information you are authorized to access.
