Managing Issue Manager roles

Roles define your responsibilities and options in the Issue Manager app.

Role Description

Diligent one admins

  • Assigns Type managers to specific types.

  • Diligent One Admins are automatically granted admin rights.

Type manager

Manages, assigns and supervise issues in a specific type.

You can do the following:

  • Edit issues in all statuses except the DRAFT, the CLOSED and the DISCARDED status.

  • Assign issues when it is in the IN REVIEW status.

  • Decline issues and send them back to the DRAFT status from the IN REVIEW status.

  • Initiate issues when it is in the REMEDIATION PLANNING status.

  • Discard issues in any status except when it is in the DRAFT, CLOSED and DISCARDED status.

Issue owner
  • Owns and manages specific issues.  

  • Configures actions and closes issues.  

  • Can also serve as the Type manager.

Action owner

Manages specific issue actions assigned by the Type manager or Issue owner.

Issue reporter
  • Creates and submits a new issue in the application.  

  • Any user can report an issue.

Action approver
  • Approves or declines actions marked as done by the Action owner. When an action is marked as done, it moves to the TO BE APPROVED status and awaits the Action approver’s decision. If declined, the action returns to REMEDIATION PLANNING for further updates.

  • Can view timeline events, including approvals, declinations, and any attached files.

  • This roles is optional for Working with actions.

Issue approver
  • Approves or declines entire issues after all related actions are completed. When approved, the issue status changes to CLOSED. If declined, one or more actions may not be reopened for further work.

  • Can view timeline events and attach files during the approval process.
