Managing book and document access

When you are Creating a book , you select the committees and users who can access it. As you add files, you can manage tab and document-level access by selecting which directors can view the content, once published.

Removing access to tabs

This section explains how to manage users' access to tabs in a book. When you remove access to a tab, the director cannot view the tab or files in their instance of the Besturen app.

  1. From the Bookshelf, select Edit on a book's row.

    You are taken to the Build book tab.

    Any existing tabs or sub tabs are displayed.

  2. Select the checkbox next to one or more tabs.

  3. Select Actions on top of the page.

    A list of options appears.

  4. Select User access.

    The Document access panel appears.

    A list of the directors who can view the file is displayed.

  5. Clear the checkbox next to one or more director's names to remove their access.

  6. Select Save.

Removing access to files

This section explains how to manage users' access to files in a book.

  1. From the Build book tab, you can view the existing tabs or sub tabs.

  2. Select the arrow next to a tab or sub tab.

    The tab expands, and you can view files.

  3. Select the more options icon on the right side of a file's row.

    A list of options appears.

  4. Select Document access.

    The Document access panel appears.

    A list of the directors who can view the file is displayed.

  5. Clear the checkbox next to one or more director's names to remove their access to the file.

  6. Select Save.

    The Custom access icon appears on the file's row, indicating that some users in the committee do not have acccess to the file.
