Manage access to a cap table
You can share access to a cap table with colleagues, investors, lawyers and other interested parties. You can also manage the degrees of viewing and editing privileges.
Important
Save the cap table as described in Save drafts and records.
You must complete this step to proceed or the following warning will appear: "You can not grant access to a personal draft. Please save as a record first, or grant access to a previous record."
-
Go to the Utilities section in the navigation sidebar and select Permissions > New Permission.
-
Select the required permission level from the dropdown list.
To review a description of the permission levels, select the help icon
beside the drop down or go to Access permissions below.
-
Enter the name and email of the person who is being granted access.
-
Preview the email message to be sent to the person granted access and select Send Email.
Diligent Equity provides a default language, but you can edit the subject line and the message. The default message announces that access has been given, and provides a link to the sign-in screen.
The tables on the Permissions screen will now show that the email has been sent. After the email has been accepted, the permission will be granted and the status will change accordingly.
Remove or edit access permissions
You can remove or edit someone’s access permissions at any time.
-
Select the more options icon
next to the person's name. A small menu appears.
-
Select Edit to change permissions.
-
Select Remove to remove access.
