Upload files and folders

You can securely upload files to your data room from your device or import them from Google Drive. An anti-virus function checks all files, and infected files will be marked as such after the upload is complete.

Note

In a team room, your ability to undertake certain tasks depends on your permissions. Contact your Data Room Manager with any queries.

Drag and drop an item from your device

  1. Go to your personal files on your device and select the item you want to upload.

  2. Drag the item into your Files section or an open folder in your Secure File Sharing data room.

    A message appears letting you know when the file has been successfully uploaded.

Upload an item from your device

  1. In your Secure File Sharing room go to the location you want the item to be stored.

    Tip

    Documents or folders can be moved later if necessary. For more information, go to Move documents or folders.

  2. Select + Newand select File upload from the menu.

    The file manager on your device opens.

  3. Select the items you want to upload.

  4. Select Open to upload the file.

    A message appears letting you know that the item has been uploaded successfully.

    Note

    If an identical file already exists in the target location, you will be asked if you want to create a new version. For more information, go to Manage document versions.

Upload an item from Google Drive

  1. In your Secure File Sharing room go to the location you want the item to be stored.

    Tip

    Documents or folders can be moved later if necessary. For more information, go to Move documents or folders.

  2. Select + New and select File upload from Google Drive from the menu.

  3. Select the files from your Google Drive.

    The process begins to upload your files to the destination folder in your data room.

Note

  • The total size of selected files or network connectivity may impact successful imports.

  • Google documents can be imported in PDF format or their Microsoft equivalent. Other files are imported in their original format.
