Entering workflow actions
-
From the Launchpad home page (www.diligentoneplatform.com), select the Issue Management app to open it.
If you are already in Diligent One, you can use the left-hand navigation menu to switch to the Issue Management app.
-
From the Issue list, select the issue for which you want to create a workflow. For instructions on assigning an issue, see Assigning an Issue owner.
-
Select the Manage Issue tab and choose one of the following execution options:
-
Parallel Execution All actions become open at the same time upon initiation. This is useful when multiple actions can be handled simultaneously.
-
Sequential Execution Actions are carried out in sequence. Each action becomes active only after the previous one is completed, ensuring a structured flow of work. If the issue is initiated but the next action is not yet open, its status is shown as Pending.
-
-
In the Workflow section, enter the following:
Action Description Title Enter a unique and descriptive title for the action. Description Provide a detailed description of the issue and the action required. Action due date Select the date by which the action must be completed. The action due date must be earlier than the issue due date Action owner -
Assign a user to own and complete the action. Any user can be selected as the Action owner.
-
Managers can reassign an issue at any time, as long as the issue is in an editable state. Issue owners can request a reassignment, but they cannot reassign the issue themselves.
(Optional) Action approver Assign a user to approve a particular action. Supporting documents Upload any relevant documents associated with the action. -
-
(Optional) Select Add Action to add other actions to the issue workflow.
-
After entering all workflow actions, select Initiate workflow to assign the actions.
Note
After the action is initiated, the owners receive email notifications. Actions within an issue are independent and have no rules or mutual dependencies. They can be executed in any order.
To learn more about starting and completing an action, refer to Working with Actions.
