Generate a Group Structure in the Background
Use the Save to Store option to generate a group structure in the background.
If you want to complete other tasks in the system while your group structure is generated, use the Save to Store option to start to generate the group structure in the background. If you want to run the group structure first and then continue working in the system, refer to Run a group structure.

Open the company record and select Group in the company banner, then select the Structure tab.

On the Group Structure (Legal Structure) page, select the type of structure you want to generate in Structure and choose to generate the structure above or below or both from the Show field.
You can also make other selections as well as filter the group structure. Refer to Group Structure Options to learn more.

Select Search
, then select Save to Store. -
On the Structure Store Details dialogue that displays, provide a description for the group structure.
- Select Finish to start generating the group structure.
You are taken to the Structure Store tab where the structure is now listed.
In the list, you can see the following details about each group structure:
- Produced On: The date and time the structure was generated on.
- Status: The status of the structure being generated.
- Duration: The time taken to generate the group structure.
- As At: The date the structure was run as at, if it was specified before generating the group structure.
- Description: The description provided for the group structure.
- Viewed: The number of times the structure has been viewed.
Use the Options
against the structure in the list to edit its description or to delete it.You can navigate away from this page and complete other tasks in the system while the structure is being generated in the background. You can come back to this page any time to check on the status of the structure. Use the Refresh option on the page to make sure you see the most recent status.
When the structure is complete, a notification displays in the bottom right. Select Open on the notification to go to the generated group structure right away. You can also close the notification and view the group structure later by opening it from the Structure Store.
