Improved AI Due Diligence report for better analysis of data

We’ve updated the AI-generated due diligence report template to streamline the narrative, emphasize key risk events, and clarify how AI output should be used alongside analyst-led due diligence.

What has changed

  • Clearer AI positioning and disclaimer text Explicitly states that the report is generated using Diligent’s AI-powered analysis to display potential risks quickly and efficiently, and that AI output may contain errors or omissions.

  • Replaced Risk summary and Risk highlights with List hits and Events views The older report contained a long-form Risk summary and Risk highlights section with dense, paragraph-style AI narrative grouped under each risk category. The new report replaces this with:

    • A List hits page that concisely shows which sanctions, watchlist, and regulatory lists the entity appears.

    • An Events page that presents key issues as a timeline of discrete events, with date, category chip, headline, and short description.

  • Current adverse media and watchlist coverage The revised appendix retains the key information while presenting a more streamlined, well-structured, and clearly organized selection of recent adverse media articles, with a sharper focus on current operational and regulatory risks.

  • Minor layout and metadata refinements The updated header section continues to show subject, date, region, country, profile ID, and risk ratingClosed The risk assessment history which changes over time based on the risk model assigned and other factors. Details include how the relationship is categorized, the services provided, the country risk, due diligence questionnaire responses, and custom fields., and now also displays Highest Risk Country – Associated more explicitly. The validation logic for the Description field has been updated to allow empty values when editing Case Reject/Close codes, eliminating unnecessary errors. Previously, the system displayed a validation message stating Only alphanumeric characters, spaces, underscores, and hyphens are allowed when the field was left blank, preventing users from saving changes without entering a description.

View the changes by navigating to Settings > Content Control > Fields/Lists > Case Reject/Close Codes > Description field.

 Fixed Apr 01, 2026 For KPs belonging to other unrelated cases, additional logging now captures detailed information when the issue occurs, enabling root cause analysis. The issue previously appeared only in the PROD US environment and did not reproduce in lower environments. Limited logging made it difficult to determine the exact cause. Initial findings indicate a possible link to session handling.

UK Sanctions data source transitions to UK Sanctions List (UKSL)

The OFSI Consolidated List retires after 28 January 2026. In line with this update, the 3PM application now uses the UK Sanctions List (UKSL) as the single authoritative source for UK sanctions data 13 February 2026.

Note

The Russia-specific list remains unchanged.

What’s new?

UK sanctions records will receive new internal IDs with the prefix 1116, replacing the legacy OFSI-related internal IDs with the prefix 1016. This change affects internal identifiers only. The sanctions status and regulatory meaning remain unchanged.

Historical records may display updated wording, formatting, or additional descriptive information due to updates from the relevant authority. To avoid any operational impact, new screening hits will not be generated where changes are limited to formatting or enhanced descriptions only.

  • 3PM The system handles non-standard dash characters to ensure third-party names render correctly.

  • RID The 3PM migration to the new RID AI DD endpoint resolves issues such as the report date mismatch. The new endpoint ensures consistent UTC date handling and updated report generation logic.

    Previously, the AI Report PDFs had the following problems:

    • Report date mismatch with two different dates being displayed.

    • Non-standard dash characters rendering incorrectly in third-party names.

    • Inconsistent Diligent logo sizing across pages.

    • Certain special characters not displaying correctly in the PDF.

 Fixed Feb 06, 2026 Added a database trigger to keep workflow tracking tables in sync with case updates, including third-party unlinking. This change is enabled only for clients with the TENANT_WORKFLOW_OSP feature. It fixes an issue where the Workflow screen displayed a blank Third-Party field and workflow data was not updated.
 Fixed Feb 06, 2026 Backend processing for form-created cases has been fixed to run reliably and on schedule. Cases submitted through forms are now processed correctly and are fully searchable in Case Management by customer name, including names with special characters. Previously, even successfully submitted forms could create cases that did not appear in search results.

The DDQ processing flow has been updated to handle key personnel more reliably:

  • When key personnel is required and provided, the details are automatically created, linked to the relevant profile, and included in 3P Monitor screening upon DDQ submission.

  • When key personnel is required but missing, the DDQ does not complete backend processing and remains in a Not Processed state until the required details are added.

  • When key personnel is not required, the DDQ completes with no impact to processing or screening.

This resolves an issue where key personnel submitted through the DDQ did not appear in the profile’s Connections tab or in 3P Monitor screening.

  • When Key Personnel (KP) is mandatory, the system validates KP details before DDQ submission.

  • When KP is not mandatory, the system processes DDQ submissions without KP details.

The DDQ submissions now align with KP requirements, preventing incomplete or invalid submissions. This fix resolves an issue in which KP requirements were applied inconsistently, previously allowing submissions to proceed without required KP details or triggering unnecessary validation when KP was not required.

This prevents workflows from being skipped and includes additional logging to improve monitoring and troubleshooting. This resolves the issue where duplicate custom lists appeared when both default and client-specific lists shared the same name.
 Fixed Dec 16, 2025 The system now prevents unnecessary re-reviews by excluding hits with Changed status from the review count after they have already been adjudicated. This ensures that subsequent minor updates to specific Info 4C fields no longer trigger a second review. The fix addresses the recent surge in Changed statuses that created inefficiencies. The additional review added minimal to no value when the initial adjudication was already sufficient.

  • The UI and other workflows remain unchanged.

  • GDC hits that are already adjudicated are not affected. Non-adjudicated and new GDC hits will update automatically based on the new search engine.

In Forms 2.0, you can use special characters in custom list items and 3P custom fields for dropdowns, checklists, or radio buttons. Allowed characters include: <, >, &, ', ", %, #, @, $, *, /, |, [ ], { }, ( ), !, ?, ~, , £, ¥, , and , when creating dropdowns, checklists, or radio buttons.

Important

  • Avoid using the <any word> pattern because it is restricted for security reasons.

  • Forms already drafted or submitted may require re-selection of values if prefilled items containing special characters do not display correctly after the update.

Note

This upgrade does not affect Forms 1.0, Emails & Notifications, or Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) fields.

The 3PM platform is now running on MySQL 8.0, improving security, performance, and stability. The upgrade was completed during the scheduled EU maintenance window on October 25, 2025, with minimal client impact. No interface or feature changes were made, but you can expect stronger data protection.

Fixed an issue for the Support > Case Operations > Case Update utility to correctly support batch deletion of cases based on valid rejection reasons, as part of the Case Closer functionality. This ensures proper updates to both case status and case stage.

The key fixes include:

  • rejectReason values provided through .CSV files were not updating the caseStage as expected.

  • The utility now correctly validates rejectReason values against clientDB.rejectCaseCode.

  • Based on the returnStatus linked to the rejectCaseCode:

    • If returnStatus is deleted, the case stage is updated to DELETED.

    • If returnStatus is rejected, the case stage is updated to REJECTED.

    • If returnStatus is closed, the case status is updated to Closed.

 Fixed Sep 23, 2025 Investigation requests can now be submitted for entities in the following sanctioned countries or regions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and Crimea. Previously, Diligent did not permit investigations in these locations.
